I am often asked why I'm interested in advertising, to this I answer that
I have a love affair with artifacts of capitalism: grocery store displays, nail polish names, interactions, experiences, and rituals. Every time I see a blank run down billboard I am compelled to cover it with design. Advertising is the wallpaper of our lives, surrounding us nearly all the time. It's a part of your life no matter your relationship with it, if it's whispering in your ear or scratching your conscience like sandpaper.
It's a part of our everyday existence. It may sound silly but I think it's exhilarating to create work that most people will ignore or actively avoid, because when it does connect it's persuasive and compelling.
